It seems best to use survey statistics very carefully. Census reports are usually much more reliable. From the 2020 census reports, one fact about the number of children without the presence of a father is concerning. Of the 73 million children living in the USA, 23% are in homes without a biological father. That number doubled since 1968, and it appears to be continually increasing. Sadly, statistics directly relate the absence of fathers to increased numbers of youth suicides, homelessness, anger issues, behavioral disorders, chemical abuse, imprisonment, and a host of other children and youth issues. Our earthly fathers need our prayers.
