I sat down at my computer to write this note on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at 8:07 PM. Fall began this evening at 8:04 PM according to the Old Farmer’s Almanac. So, officially it is Fall or Autumn for the more sophisticated. It seemed fitting when the high temperature for tomorrow is only supposed to be in the sixties. Fall gives us a break from the Summer heat and prepares us for the cold days of Winter. I was reminded of God’s promise to Noah after the flood. In Genesis 8:22, God said, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, Winter and Summer, and day and night shall not cease.” So allow the falling leaves and dropping temperatures remind us: God is good all the time!
