Many people find they learn better with some form of visual aid (a chart, drawing, pictures, graphs), and they learn even better with some type hands-on activities in the learning process. I specifically recall my first serious questions relating to Jesus Christ. I wanted to know more about baptism and the Lord’s Supper. The symbolism of both ordinances helped me to understand what Jesus did for me on the cross. Participation should never be taken lightly. Both ordinances should be reverently observed and carefully understood by all who participate. Both are beautiful pictures of Jesus’ unfailing love.
