A recent return to a familiar creek sparked a boy hood memory I could not resist. The feel of a smooth stone was a reminder of years of flowing water that shaped it. Ever so gradually the water had worn away the rough edges, sometimes tumbling them against other stones to speed the process. It is a joy to watch as God shapes the lives of His children, replacing unpleasant attitudes and restoring brokenness from sin and sorrows of earthly living. From time to time, it is good to ask ourselves the question: What is God doing in my life? There is reassurance in the fact that God is at work, shaping us like Jesus.
