History is filled with writers, inventors, athletes, business men, and politicians who simply refused to give up. Harland D. Sanders, best known as Colonel Sanders was one of those. His recipe for fried chicken was rejected 1,009 times before a restaurant finally accepted it, and Kentucky Fried Chicken was born. When Christians hear or read about people who have had this experience, we should be encouraged in our faith. While many have given up and fallen by the wayside, be reminded of the promise found in Galatians 6:9: we shall reap if we do not lose heart (NKJV). Do not give up! And by the way, we will be rewarded.
